About

Built by astronomers who got tired of crowded eyepieces.

Nocturne started as a side project between three colleagues who wanted a way to share the night sky without rushing anyone through it. Today we operate three permanent dark-sky sites and run roughly two hundred experiences a year.

2017

Founded with a single 10-inch Dobsonian in the Atacama.

2019

Permanent site opened on La Palma.

2022

First astrophotography workshop hosted.

2024

Outback Australia site joins the network.

Today

Three sites, six experiences, a small team that still answers every email personally.

The team

  • Dr. Inara Solis

    Founder & Lead Astronomer

Former research fellow at ESO. Spent eleven years operating large-aperture instruments before deciding the public deserved a turn at the eyepiece.

  • Mateo Riv

    Astrophotography Director

Astro-imager whose work has appeared in NASA APOD twice. Runs our two-night imaging workshops end to end.

  • Hana Okafor

    Site Operations

Logistics, weather routing, and the reason every Nocturne night starts with hot food and a working telescope.
